The Vantage Point Law core legal team has been closely working together for more than 20 years, with each individual’s unique abilities, talents and experience seamlessly integrated into a cohesive unit providing consistent, quality legal services.
Jeffrey Rooney, Esq, Principal Attorney
Jeff is the founder and sole shareholder of the firm who has a broad range of business and real estate experience gained from forming and operating his own companies, buying, selling and investing in real estate, and his full time practice of law for several decades. The ‘real world’ experience affords Jeff the ability to put himself in his client’s shoes and approach issues from his client’s perspective enhanced by solid legal experience. Jeff is adapt at resolution but also tough at trial. He has handled a broad range of transactional, as well as litigation, matters related to real estate issues of all types.

Jeff obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in philosophy, magna cum laude, from Pepperdine University, Malibu and Juris Doctor Degree from the University of San Diego. Jeff is a licensed California Real Estate Broker as well. Jeff enjoys biking, hiking, kayaking and travelling with his family.
Alice Freeman,
Certified Paralegal & Office Manager
Alice Freeman has been a paralegal in Contra Costa County for over 18 years. She is very detailed-oriented and applies her skills to assist in drafting correspondence, motions, and legal memorandums. Mrs. Freeman has experience with several areas of law, but focuses on Real Estate, Civil Litigation, Estate Planning and Business Formation. In addition to assisting the attorneys in drafting and trial preparation, Mrs. Freeman manages the trial calendar and judicial calendar for the office. Alice Freeman serves as Office Manager for Vantage Point Law, Inc.
While achieving her Associates of Arts Degree, Mrs. Freeman earned her paralegal certificate from hands-on practical experience working her way through the legal field. When Mrs. Freeman is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and being outdoors.
Joshua Hagan,
Legal Assistant & Online Investigation
Joshua is the administrative and legal assistant for Vantage Point Law. His friendly face will most like be the first one you will encounter when you visit our office, and his polite voice will most likely the one to greet you when you call. With exceptional IT abilities, Josh quickly assembles files, documents, and evidence in manageable paper and electronic formats. Josh deploys his talent to sleuth information in his role as the firm’s online investigator, gaining publically available, but hard to find, information on opponents, properties and businesses. He is available to assist you and the Vantage Point attorneys in your matter, and answer many of the non-legal questions you may have as a VPL Client.
Josh hails from Arkansas, and spending his early childhood on a farm before moving to South Carolina. The second decade and formative years of his life would be spent in Indiana where he graduated at his High School 32nd in a class of 360+ students. Josh went on to attend Indiana University. Heeding ‘go west young man’, Josh moved to California. He began working with Mr. Rooney in 2006 and remains a valued member of the Vantage Point, Law, Inc. team.
